Redeploy Trusted Equipment to Your Site
Be part of the circular economy by putting trusted equipment back to work.
Lenmark is facilitating the redeployment of equipment from one of the world’s leading diamond mining operations. As the Diavik Diamond Mine progresses toward final closure, select mobile and fixed equipment, parts, and components are becoming available, including mining machinery, processing systems, and supporting infrastructure previously used at Rio Tinto’s remote northern site.
Mobile & Fixed Equipment
From heavy mobile fleet to fixed site machinery, these assets were selected and maintained to operate in one of the most demanding mining environments in the world.
Critical Components
Engines, hydraulics, electrical systems, wear components, and mission-critical spares. Thousands of used and surplus parts are available without long OEM lead times or auction uncertainty.
Integrated Systems
Conveyance, power, material handling, and plant systems designed to operate at scale and ready for integration into your operation.
A World-Class Northern Operation
Located approximately 300 kilometres northeast of Yellowknife in Canada’s Northwest Territories, the Diavik Diamond Mine operated in one of the most remote mining environments in the world.
Built on an island in Lac de Gras, the site required engineered dike systems, seasonal ice road logistics, and fly-in workforce operations to support continuous production.
Working in one of the most remote regions in the world meant planning carefully, building infrastructure to withstand northern conditions, and maintaining equipment.
Developed and operated under established global mining standards, Diavik became one of Canada’s most significant diamond operations.
The site was recognized for consistent engineering practices, structured environmental management, and dependable day-to-day performance in a complex northern setting.
Over ice roads or through the air, equipment is transitioning out of active production and being responsibly redeployed through Lenmark’s industrial marketplace.
This extends asset lifecycle, reduces unnecessary material waste, and gives proven equipment a second life in the field.
the gear you need
Proven in Sub-Arctic Operations
Diavik operated year-round in extreme northern climates, with winter temperatures regularly reaching below −40°C.
Equipment deployed at the site was selected and maintained to perform in:
- Remote, isolated conditions
- Severe cold-weather environments
- Logistically constrained supply chains
- Continuous production schedules
Diavik Closure
Closing responsibly
According to Rio Tinto, planning for closure has been part of Diavik’s lifecycle since before production began. Closure objectives include safety, long-term land and water stewardship, biodiversity, community engagement, and responsible resource management. This work has been carried out with input from Participation Agreement partners.
Reclamation at a glance
Progressive reclamation activities began in 2017 and are expected to continue through the end of operations. Following the conclusion of commercial production in 2026, the site is anticipated to enter a multi-year decommissioning and rehabilitation phase, followed by ongoing monitoring that incorporates both scientific assessment and Traditional Knowledge.
Mine Workings
Rio Tinto has outlined plans to remove mobile equipment and manage regulated materials from open pits and underground areas. Over time, pits are expected to be flooded with water from Lac de Gras, and once water quality criteria are achieved, engineered dikes may be opened to allow reconnection with the lake.
Infrastructure
The closure plan includes dismantling mine infrastructure, with materials recycled, donated, or sold where practical. As part of this process, Lenmark is facilitating the redeployment of select equipment and assets, helping extend asset life beyond the original site. Remaining inert materials would be managed on site, and alternative future uses for certain infrastructure are being explored.
Off Road Equipment Parts, Inc.
Our company recently purchased a significant amount of parts from Lenmark Industries. They were prompt in their communications and followed through with all aspects of the purchase. The parts were represented accurately, and the packing was superb when we received the shipment. We look forward to doing business with Lenmark Industries again in the near future!

Lenmark has been super helpful in finding certain products that have been hard to find such as pallet racking items, transformers and air tanks for our company. They go above and beyond every time and are very kind and easy to deal with. Would most definitely recommend them!

We purchased a forklift from Lenmark and we are very pleased with the whole process. We received what we expected for a great deal. They serviced the unit before we got it and it runs great! For our situation this was so much better than an auction. We will be buying through Lenmark again and we highly recommend them!
