The Veolia Aquamove Hydrotech HSF2224D-1FN disc filter serves as an intermediate solids-removal stage in the treatment train. Positioned downstream of clarification and upstream of finer sand and membrane filtration, it captures remaining suspended particles and floc that could otherwise overload or foul later equipment. Its rotating disc media provides a large filtration area within a compact footprint, while the internal pumps and backwash system clean the media and remove accumulated solids without interrupting normal filtration. By reducing suspended-solids loading and smoothing water quality, this unit protects the downstream filters and membranes, improves treatment reliability, and helps extend cleaning intervals and component life.
