Description
Weir Tank 1 serves as the first hydraulic buffer and flow-control stage in the water-treatment system. Located after the feed pump and before the high-rate clarifier, it receives incoming process water, dampens fluctuations in flow and pressure, and maintains a stable water level and controlled discharge to downstream treatment. This equalization helps prevent hydraulic surges, promotes consistent clarification performance, and provides temporary holding capacity during changes in feed conditions. The heavy-duty steel tank includes large flanged process connections, level/control instrumentation, and an elevated access platform with safety railings for inspection and maintenance.
